About Us

Chris began learning the piano at the age of 5 and progressed through the ABRSM grading system. After gaining a music scholarship at school he also learnt the Bassoon and alto Sax and regularly played in the school orchestra which often performed in Rochester Cathedral

Having reached the final of the TV programme 'Rock School' the passion for playing in bands and songwriting was already well established by the time it came to leave school.

Chris attended Middlesex university where he studied both music and ICT. Many friends at the time thought this was an unusual combination but proved very useful for the future!

After university (and having continued playing and recording with many bands) Chris began teaching music at secondary school. For the last 20 years he has taught up to and including A-level music whilst continuing to gig in the 'real world'. Chris initially learnt his way around London by travelling to different rehearsal and recording studios. Playing with different bands and recording in different studios has built up a wealth of practical experience. In 2006 Chris built his first recording studio and this has now been superseded by the new studio in France.

Former students include:

George Maquire who went on to star as Billy Elliot in the West End

Dougie Poynter who joined McFly as their bass player

Olivia Rossiter-Langworthy who is currently fighting her way through the rounds of television's The Voice

Chris now continues to teach and gig in France with local musicians and has found that the universal language of music really does cut through the barriers that moving to another country sometimes present.
